Gorgeous early Buddhist prayer beads consisting of 99 barrel shaped natural amber beads, 6 natural red coral beads, and 3 turquoise beads, for a total of 108, which is traditional for a buddhist rosary or prayer beads, held together by a large carved guru bead. I would estimate this to be somewhere between 150-200 years old, perhaps even older, the composition is rare and unusual, and the patina is from decades of use. Measures approximately 14" around, the guru all together bead is 1 1/8" long, the total weight is 59.4 grams. In very good antique condition, has wear commensurate to age and material.
