Very rare small Antique Ottoman Faturan cherry amber bakelite islamic prayer 35 beads 40 grams. Its not damari or vined beads. Lovely and a collector piece indeed its a museum piece. This is a stunning beautiful old ottoman Osmanli cherry red amber Faturan / bakelite islamic prayer beads. The color is wine red and better than in the photos deep cherry red stunning and rare barrel cut beads. Has a very nice smell when used or rubbed. Each measuring in average approximately. 9 mm X 7 mm. Imam 22 mm long (as photos 2 parts). Please note that the beads are not the exactly same size due to old cut and the imam is darker red color. Do please study photos carefully this is an old antique item. You will not find another one , this prayer beads have been tested by a hot needle in an inconspicuous place revealing 100% faturan smell results and I believe were carved in the early years. The cord is multi stings nylon thick 1.5mm and will stay there a lifetime. The total weight is 40 grams. Please look at the photos as they speak for themselves. The condition is excellent except for minor scratch and wear from usage over the years. Please not that there are some variation in size and color between the beads.
